My closest friends in Florida live about 70 miles north of my place of residence and it is well connected by a highway.
We have a good quality conversation that lasts for hours which always include good food, good wine and comraderie.
Today was no exception. The sunset was spectacular and I can understand how the ancients would have marvelled at this celestial art
We chose to eat at DA DA, a restaurant reminiscent of older times of South Florida and Coconut Grove, with seating amidst plants and trees. The food could be called Nouvelle Americain.
Hours go by when we are together and we talk about such a wide variety of subjects .
It follows an old adage.
The least interesting conversations are when people talk about themselves.
The next level is when people talk about others.
The best conversations are about ideas.
I arrived at their house around 4 pm and when we said good night it was close to midnight.
That is what we call a good schmooze: a good conversation. aided a little by sunset glowing above us and an unusual dining experience. We say to each other, we do not go out to eat, but we go out for the experience of dining in good company.
Today is November 15. Lot more of the world is opening up.
