SADHGURU the Indian mystic was in Dubai on the Full Moon night talking about Prana Vayu and this time about UDANA.. floating around, not allowing the composition of the body to rule your life.
I had thought a lot about what it means to be FREE.. while I was growing up in Australia and over the course of time, was able to free myself of the attachments that defines a person.

In these last two years of social isolation and conflicts in many countries , many of these attachments have become stronger, paradoxically enough in the name of Freedom.
So this short discourse by Sadhguru in reply to a question why there were many men in the audience. It is a good reply from a Mystic.
From the East, comes the Mysticism, explained by Sadhguru and from the West comes a historic explanation by Yuval Noah Harari.
and the Indigenous people knew all along about both .. Like the Meskwakia elder said to me: We know but no one asks us ..
The divisions within the western societies have never been sharper than they are now.. and in the East whether it is India or Malaysia , identification with some ideology has made them loose the perception or the capacity of seeing.
We believed in the bling story about Globalization.. World as a village , people being able to understand each other ..But there were erudite leaders like Fidel Castro who saw the dangers of Globalization on the lives of the individuals especially in the developing world. Globalization of Economy and Liberalization of Politics, argued the neo-liberals would lead to Paradise on Earth
as 2021 is ending we can surely say that most of us have stopped believing in that story.
The Westerners have lost their story. Paradise is far from achieved. Anger, Resentment, fear, Anxiety, false and fake perception dominate.
It is not the migrants that are taking your jobs, we must reassure the trembling uneducated middle class of USA.. it is our lack of understanding of the history of the change into future where artificial intelligence would make people feel useless, unless you prepare yourselves now..
Loosing ones story is very sad ..
I had to read a book by a well known French (NZ born) psychiatrist. Theatre of the Mind
In majority of cases, now so confused with attachments and aversions, the script writer of their thoughts have absconded from their brains.. and they no longer know what to say.
They have lost their stories.
Hundreds of examples, just look around you....
I was influenced by the African scholar, Sir Laurens van der Post and his description of the spirit of the people closer to creation and how we have lost failed to grab it.
If by chance you can savour that innocence of the man-child of the Indigenous people, you will begin to understand the existence of life and truth.
